Easy to read
I am still a new professional but graduated in 2019 with my MA in counseling. I have not worked as much providing therapy until my current position working with adolescents in detention. This book has given me new life in how I conceptualize my work and provide therapy and I absolutely love it. The book is straightforward, easy to read, explained the foundations of ACT and RFT, and I especially appreciated the section on rule governed behavior. There are many mindfulness exercises offered as well as metaphors that can be used throughout the therapeutic relationship depending on the focus of the session. I will be referencing this book often.

Great Resource
I love this book! I bought it to use with clients during my internship and it has been invaluable. It breaks everything down and explains it in terms that are easy to understand. The content is great. I use some of the exercises and metaphors when staffing cases with fellow classmates and they are always impressed with my treatment suggestions.

Very helpful
I found this book extremely helpful in guiding sessions both individually and in pairs for youth with emotional behavioral disorders. I recommend this for those in my field: behavior analysts (or interns) looking for supplemental guidance on working with youth.

Must read for anyone using the ACT model with adolescents.
This book rocked. I am a counselor in private practice and see many adolescents in my office. This book has helped me help others with the ACT model. Thank you for well written and easy to follow book. I hope to see more from both the writers.
