About the Author

Jonathan Emmett worked as an architect before becoming a children’s author and novelty book designer, which may explain the inspiration behind Alphabet Street, a novelty book in the form of a street elevation.

Jonathan is the author of over sixty books, including Bringing Down the Moon and The Princess and the Pig and his work has been translated into over thirty different languages. He likes building things and taking things apart, playing games and solving puzzles and letting his imagination run riot.

You can find out more about Jonathan and his books at his website: scribblestreet.co.uk

Ingela P Arrhenius graduated from art school in the early 90s and has been working as an illustrator ever since. At first, she worked in advertising and magazines, but her focus over the past ten years has been on products and books.

Ingela has created patterns for fabrics, wallpaper and stationery, as well as packaging and home accessories. She has also collaborated with several toy producers around the world and her love of retro style, typography and colour is reflected in all her work. Ingela lives in Stockholm with her husband (an author) and two sons.

Such an adorable book! Love the illustrations and fold out page

  3. Andrezza

Livro favorito do meu filho de 2a5m
The media could not be loaded.

A ideia do livro de ter uma cidade e um parque é muito interessante. As páginas da parte da cidade tem abas para abrir e descobrir. A parte do parque não tem abas mas mesmo assim chama a atenção do meu filho. O livro é lindo. Meu filho quer ver o livro todas as noites, é o favorito dele. Valeu muito a pena a compra desse produto. Nós adoramos!

    Super book
My toddler loves this book. The pictures and story are engaging and he loves lifting the flaps to reveal the pictures under each letter of the alphabet. A firm favourite.

Two year old adores this book
This is a lovely book – the art is thoughtful and great for a toddler. It’s sturdy (tiny hands haven’t managed to destroy it after many reads). The concept of how it folds out into a town, and has a little park at the back, is cute – but it still functions well as a book with pages turning comfortably by little hands. Overall 10/10 for this one

  6. TBO

    Gorgeous, funny, educational
Beautiful illustrations with a sense of humour and the text has a good rhythm. My daughter is going to love this but I’m keeping hold of it till she’s two or three as she’d just destroy it now (1.5), and it’s too beautiful to be eaten/thrown in the bath/pulled apart.

    keepsake
this is a beautiful book, well made. my 2 year old grandson loves ABC books and i’ve watched him embrace a variety of ABC books which use a wide range of words. an earlier review complained about the words not being common, but for me, this is what increases the appeal of this book. A is not just for Apple. a variety of ABC books soon teaches a child how wide and deep the world of language is. an added appeal is that this book is fully 3D and can be used stretched out on a table or a floor to create a village or a park scene. well done!

    Huge book and fun!
It was an oversized beautiful book!4 yrs old boy was so exited to play with it.Because of that’s accordion shape, it stand by itself when you open it in the room.My grandson was feeling like he is in the town of the book.Lovely time with lovely book we spent together.

    Entertaining on cute
This book is lovely, well thought out and engaging. My little one also likes to unfold the whole thing and sit in the middle of it like a den

    lovely book
Bought as a gift for someone so I only had chance for a quick look. Very nice imaginative way to display a book. There was a tiny tear in the cardboard around the book but this luckily didn’t affect the actual book.
