This is a very disappointing book, which confused my children when we were reading it (and upset my 4 year old daughter).Classic fairy tales have been made ‘edgy’ with new ‘modern’ endings (ie Cinderella does not marry the Prince…but still asks if she can live at his house, the Little Mermaid goes back to live with her sisters, Beauty goes home to her Father and becomes friends with the Beast…Please write new stories and leave these classic children’s favourites alone!

Stunning book
This is one of those books that is just so special. All the fine details, beautiful illustrations, little flecks of gold on the cover. It’s so lovely. A firm favourite in our house. I also like that the illustrator didn’t give all the characters white skin.

A new generation of Fairy Tale
Beautiful book, Wonderfully written!! My four year old keeps asking for fairy tales read to her (even over TV!) because these stories are so wonderful. Spoiler alert- The updated versions don’t end in every princess being rescued by a prince. They save themselves, opt for friendship, and confidently say “no thank you” to teenage marriage! We all love this!

brilliant book, my boys 5 and 7 thoroughly enjoyed it
Very large in size, beautiful illustrations. The stories are all modernly reimagined and the perfect length for bedtime stories.
