About the Author
Sam Taplin grew up in a beautiful valley in Yorkshire, where he dreamed of being a writer, and after three years reading other people’s books at university he started writing his own for Usborne. He’s been doing it ever since. When he’s not writing about lonely rabbits or inquisitive bears, he likes doing card tricks, writing songs and playing long games of chess by the fire.
From the Publisher

Little children can listen to a baby bird tweeting, frogs croaking in the pond and owls hooting when they press the pages of this delightful book. Colourful pages show the garden and pond in the sun and rain and at night. With simple text, holes to peep through and fingertrails to explore, this is a lovely first book about nature and the outdoors.

Great value! There are multiple buttons on each double page spread (unlike most other sound books) and the recordings for this one are just lovely. Beautiful bird songs, crickets, rain, etc, all high quality and quite long too (approx 6 sec instead of 3 sec). The pages even have cut outs to see though to the next page, and the design and illustration of the book is top notch. The size of the book (height and width of each page) is also much larger than our other sound books. My little boy loves sound books and this is the best one we have had.

Slightly too loud but my kid loves it
I feel like the sounds is a bit too loud which causes this to sound a bit worse than it actually is. My daughter likes the book very much and has a lot of questions regarding the critters hiding in flowers and splashing in water.Definitely recommend this instead of any sound books.

Beautiful book
A beautiful book with realistic sounds and lovely illustrations! Keeps my 9 month old so engaged in story time. I ordered others in the collection as soon as it arrived.

14 month old likes to press buttons
We got this book because our copy of “Jungle Sounds” was falling apart. This one has the same art style, and the story is similar, but the sounds are relatively boring compared to the other book. My 14 month old likes to press the buttons and be read to, but it got old for the adults really fast.

Good book
Half are bird sounds but nonetheless the kids always like the books and their great detail.
