About the Author
Math educator Kate Snow gives parents the tools they need to teach math with confidence. This scripted, open-and-go program leads parents’ step-by-step through teaching all the concepts a kindergartner needs to master: counting to 100, writing numbers, beginning addition and subtraction, shapes and patterns, coins, time, and measurement.
Short, lively lessons will hold a child’s attention by incorporating movement, games, and everyday household objects. Simple, colorful worksheets prepare kindergartners for pencil-and-paperwork that they’ll encounter in first grade.
Snow demystifies math by including recommendations for wonderful math picture books to enjoy together, plus specific ways to help children apply math to real life throughout the week. Beyond just telling parents what to do, Kindergarten Math With Confidence also helps them understand why the lessons are designed the way they are, giving them the knowledge and confidence to help their children learn. Using Kindergarten Math With Confidence will allow parents to build a strong math foundation for their children.

Excellent
I am teacher of many years and I wish all early years followed this format. Fantastic entry to learning math(s)- so thankful I found this. Takes all the hard work out of it so you and your child can enjoy learning maths and have a secure foundation. So glad I didn’t accidentally choose another program.

Not for me. To hands on for me
Updated review Sunday June 11To much prep, talking, explaining and reading for me. It’s too hands on for me. I like the work book but the lessons are too hands on in the teacher’s book. I wanted something to baby me and be super easy. The hands on book I was looking for was spectrum hands pre-k and kindergarten. I don’t like the pre-k one for pre-k but I think it’s good for kender. I think its good to combine with the kindergarten as a kindergarten curriculum. Talking about spectrum hands on.Now more on the book I’m reviewing. As a Busy mom with a baby. Everytime I open this book I close it. It’s to much reading and not ready to go for my Impatient 4 year old. My daughter was born in December so she cant start school tell she’s in the first grade. This book is to much for her as she’s not on the level of a child who’s can start kender at kender because their born before September. Also my child is very strong well and seem very confused as this requires to much talking And explaining. Its in one ear and out the other She’s also a late talker. She’s better with the spectrum hands on. It’s right to the point and very simple and affordable.I think the book would of been better as an idea book. Like giving us options on what to do. So I can open the book and say hay I want to do this activity. It would of made a very good hands on MATH activity book instead of an curriculum book.I plan to look at it more and see if I can use it to give me ideas for hands on MATH activity.Old reviewI haven’t used yet so for now ignore my rating.I simply just want you to see that this book has a Material list.it has cut outs in the back but it does have a list.It also has a book list. I don’t think you have to buy the books but it does have a list.

AMAZING!
I adore this curriculum! It is full of games and visuals, mastery-based, easy to use, and provides an extremely affordable, thorough, enjoyable math program. I tried a LOT of curriculums with my oldest and wish I had known about this program when she was little. My kindergartener loves it. Note: I work full-time from home while homeschooling a grade schooler and a middle schooler so I mean it when I say it is easy to use!

Instructor guide is GOLD! Workbook my little Loves
SO MUCH more than I released! Bought this because I saw a review on youtube(not sure the channel). There’s so much more than I anticipated, in a good way!! My daughter did elearning public school for the first 1/2 of the school year however we decided to take her out and homeschool her. This is the math curriculum I choose and I was able to pinpoint exactly where to start based on the problems he’s having by looking through the unit checkpoints. They have a “what to expect at the end of this unit” list, a “is your child ready to move on” list, then and MOST helpful “ what to do if your child needs more practice” list based on the areas that directs you back to the activities/ lesson that will help them! The lessons are layed out nicely with a review/ warmup, activities , questions you can ask, it also has a suggested book to read and match the chapters and of course which workbook page it goes with.I started my daughter off easy today with just doing some of the review worksheets from what she had learned from the first half of her kindergarten year. She loved the page I gave her and sat and did 10 in total of the workbook pages. So refreshing to see her love learning again, the elearning was really making her dread to do her work.I honestly wondered why I needed an instruction guide for this…..NOW I understand it’s loaded with useful information, and activities on how to better help your child and of course make it fun!!!So please with this I cannot say enough about it.. I’m happy the release dates for future years are planned. As of now I WILL be preordering 1st grade math with confidence!!

Simply The Best Kindergarten Math
As a homeschooling mom who wastes so much money finding the right curriculum that works for my child, I can say that I simply LOVE this kindergarten math book set. When my little was in preschool, we began working in this book. Now we’re continuing where we left off for the rest of kindergarten year. My now 5 year old knows how to do mental math, adding to 10 with a combination of 2 different numbers, all from learning how to read a 10 stick from instruction out of this book. The parent guide is very comprehensive without being intimidating or daunting. Each lesson is short, engaging and both me and my 5 year old enjoy pulling it out for our math lessons. Thank you, Kate Snow! My very active 5 year old is learning valuable math skills and sitting still to complete the short games/activities. The lessons in the student workbook take us less than 5 minutes to complete, and my child is still retaining what he learned in previous lessons. I’m tempted to go ahead and buy the first grade level just so I can admire what is to come! There should be more awareness of this awesome math instruction. It’s so affordable and gives the child plenty opportunity to grasp specific skills before jumping into a new concept. If you’re pondering what math to incorporate in your kindergartener’s schooling, try Kindergarten Math with Confidence first and avoid other busywork workbooks or those expensive brands that risk not keeping your child engaged.

Wonderful
Love this so much. Just started the kindergarten with my little one and we are really enjoying the playful nature of learning math. From playing store to learn money, outdoor activities, etc it’s really fun and is building a love of learning which I feel can be hard to do with math. Great job. I only wish there was a 4th grade one out already for my older child!!

I can’t say enough great things about this!
2/9/23 Edit. We’ve been using this math curriculum for a good portion of the school year now and we still love it! My daughter has learned so much in such a gentle way. She still loves math and I plan to stick with this curriculum for first grade and beyond! If you want your kiddos to love learning and love math I highly recommend this curriculum!Original review-My daughter asks to do math twice a day! She has so much fun learning with this curriculum. Math is her favorite subject and she loves all the games and activities that are built right into her lessons.Mama loves all the little explanations about what she’s learning and why and how easy it is to just open and go each day!

I wish I could give it 10 stars!
I cannot say enough good things about this math curriculum! I am embarrassed to say that this was my first pick for kindergarten math this year, but another company released a new math and it looked so cute. Soooo I went with that. Huge mistake! It was awful! 65 lessons in and my child Hadn’t learned much at all. I finally decided to grab this and am so so so grateful. He understands number concepts more in one month of using this than in 6 months of the other math. We started at the beginning and I thought it would be too easy, but no! I had no idea they truly didn’t understand numbers. Kate Snow has laid such a thorough foundation that is so easy to teach. We have so much fun with our math lessons and have had so many ah-ha moments for both student and teachers. I have two more kindergarteners after this and will absolutely be using this again. Highly highly recommend!!!!

BEST INVESTMENT EVER!
AWESOME TEACHING TOOL!Taught my 3 year old daughter to learn up to the nickel lesson in 3 days! And she understood every bit of the teaching through and through. It even inspired me to add a “math corner” to our “classroom.”I’m so in love with this book!In detail:The big book instructs you EXACTLY what to say to your child. You don’t need to come up with your own lesson plan. It tells you EVERYTHING you’ll ever need to know or say!At the end of each chapter, it directs you to the workbook(the smaller book.). Your child would work on a page of it and that’s it!All in all, I would say it took us about 20 min per lesson to truly teach my child to understand it to the core. But you could definitely spend 10 mins and be good. But my method was to make sure my child understand it fully before moving on. I feel having a strong fundamental is important. It’s worth the time investing into teaching your child. This book is definitely one of the best investments ever!!
