I was tossing up between this sight word game and the fly swat one… and I wish I’d chosen the other one. The pieces are so hard to get off the UFO that they bend or literally break in half. We played it once and i how have to glue 4 pieces back together. They should be made of plastic not cardboard 🙁

Engaging!
This is such a fun & engaging way to have kids practice identifying sight words. I modify the game by having my students try to spell the word after they “caught” it or by having them use it in a sentence. They love it and ask to play it all the time. The only issue it that the word tiles will split in half when you try to remove the ships which have a suction at the bottom.

My 5&7 year old love this game but I only gave it 4 stars because the game words pieces break apart and bend easily.

Great Math Center, but discs need work
My kindergarten students LOVE to play this game, and I have fun playing it with them. HOWEVER, when they try to take the suction cups off of the word discs, the disks nearly ALWAYS split in two. We have used rubber cement to put the pieces back together, but I’m not sure how much longer they will hold up, whcih is a shame because the concept is great.
