Great fundamentals for understanding how light behaves
I liked how the author goes through various scenarios of light behavior and with great photos shows what he is explaining.I like how there are some simple exercises after each section for you to practice what you’ve just read.Overall this is a great book as a starting point for someone who wants to have a better understanding of light and light behavior and expand after reading it.I highly recommend it

Book is clearly written and uses technical language correctly (defining it as it’s introduced, not overusing it to make the author sound smart), which is a lot more than I can say for other references. It doesn’t waste time, either, which is how it can be as short as it is and still cover everything it needs to. I use it constantly. Very strong recommend.

Libro molto chiaro e ben scritto!
Ho comperato questo libro come illustratrice: tratta in modo chiaro e ben esemplificato il comportamento della luce (naturale e artificiale) sui diversi ambienti, gli effetti che essa crea interagendo coi colori e la proiezione delle ombre. Un supporto utilissimo per chi costruisce immagini, visto che la luce ha un ruolo importantissimo nella trasmissione di un particolare messaggio, di un umore, un’atmosfera. Consigliatissimo!

great reference book
I got this book out of the library, and had to have it for my library. Lots of practical and interesting examples of how we perceive light and shadow. Answers to questions about which I’ve wondered since a child, all in one book! Useful too for artists, photographers, film makers. It arrived quickly from Amazon
