    Good for beginners
Its not bad as first book for Arabic writing. You get to practise the isolated, initial, medial and final forms of the letters.

    Useful book
It’s a fine book. There could be more pages or some other format but it seems to be good enough.

    Great Workbook
I’ve purchased this several times for friends interested in learning Arabic. The Arabic Alphabet: How to Read & Write It Paperback – October 1, 2000by Nicholas Awde (Author), Putros Samano (Author) plus this workbook is a good combination to understand and learn to write the Arabic alphabet.Page 65 is Lam. At some point learn Lam and understand how to distinguish it from Alif with Lam being a connector and Alif being a non-connector. When I first learned to read Arabic, confusing the two was the mistake I made the most. I had to learn to look to see if it connected to the next letter or not. Secondly, learn the special way of writing Lam Alif (Laa), which is on page 85.On page 74 cross out the pronunciation part. This looks like a formatting error. (It belongs to the preceding letter.)

Not an easy language to learn, but this book is helpfeul, even for adults
It is advertised more for children, but if you are an adult looking for the very basics of the Arabic alphabet, this is much easier than books aimed at adults, which assume you know the basics. This book IS the basics you need to use more advanced material – especially if you are learning on your own and not in a class or with someone else. It has ample practice pages, and allows you to adjust to using your pen or marker in the proper ways (which it illustrates for proper formation, as in whether or not you go up or down or left or right. I think this is a great starting place and have found it more helpful than more advanced books I bought prior to admitting I needed something very basic if I was going to make any progress.
