Rudge’s mixed media illustrations are inviting. She uses humour to reiterate the words shown on each page, and readers will love finding some of the things shown on each page. — ReadPlus ―

Oh Creative DayAbout the Author
After completing an Illustration Degree at Bath Spa University in England,
Leila Rudge hopped on a plane to Australia in search of the sunshine. In 2009, she illustrated her first children’s book Duck for a Day. Since then, she has written and illustrated over 15 books. Both Gary and Winston and the Indoor Cat have been shortlisted in the Early Childhood categories of the CBCA awards. Her work is a mixture of pencil – so many coloured pencils – and watercolour paint all hand rendered onto big sheets of watercolour paper. She has two tiny people who both love books almost as much as she does!

Perfect gift for working mothers
Lovely lovely book. Bought it for two of my friends whose little ones have just turned one years old and the mum’s are going back to work. They loved it! Perfect for our modern society today where more and more mothers are going to work. Would heartily recommend, beautifully illustrated too!

Lovely book.
I bought this for my childminding setting. This is such a lovely book and I liked that included a stay at home mum as well as mothers who go out to work.
