Two thumbs up from a bilingual language teacher with a 5 year old!
I can’t tell you how much my son loves ALL these books! We speak English at home, but I’m bilingual. I really wanted a “non painful” way to learn language with my son at bedtime. These books actually follow some great principles of language teaching– that learning “random” vocabulary in context actually makes it “stick” better in your brain rather than learning organized lists (like all the animals, days of the week, etc).I also appreciate that this books helps us learn how to conjugate verbs (“I go”, “you go”, “he goes”, etc) which can be much more difficult in other languages and impossible to remember. This makes it easy.Last but certainly not least, they’re great kids books. They’ve got repetitive bits where accidents and misfortunes happen, which my son loves. They’ve got “cheeky” bits and kid-oriented experiences (like needing a wee, losing a teddy, being sad, making a mess) which makes my son want to read them over and over.I wish there were 100 more of these.

Amazing book for young Italian learners!
Amazing book! I was going off other reviews for an Italian bilingual book and so glad I chose this one to add to our collection. My children (almost pre-k and almost kindergarten age) are fluently bilingual already in German / English and we are now introducing a third language, one of which my Great-Grandparents spoke. This book hits the mark perfectly to accompany the Italian language activities we’ve been working through recently in a homeschool environment. It introduces common colors (my children got a laugh out of the multi-colored wig “parrucca multicolore”), there are numbers 1-5, common household items, and simple Italian sentence structures. If you are new to the language, there is an index of the Italian – English translation in the back of the book but it doesn’t show pronunciation. If you need assistance with the correct pronunciation, Google Translate can be helpful to ensure you are pronouncing the words correctly for your children. Overall, if you know the Italian language basics, you will be able to read the Italian portion of the book fluently. Beautiful Las Vegas, NV U.S. printed on demand book!

Bilingual English/Italian book
What a great story for English speakers learning Italian or Italian speakers learning English. The frogs speak English and the mouse speaks Italian. This is the best way to learn a new language. I highly recommend the book. It is also available in other languages. Happy reading!

Best book ever!!
I love this book and so does my 1 year old. They incorporate Italian into the English story and it is fabulous! Also they are basic words that you would teach a kid like clothing items. I cannot say enough good things, wish this author had more stories! Also it is such a wonderful story on top of being educational.

THIS BOOK IS ABSOLUTELY “FABULOUS”
The more I read this, the more I think it is perfect — not only for a child — but also for the great uncle who will be reading it to a 4 y.o. with an American mom and an Italian dad. Well done!!
