    Excellent content, low quality print
I had borrowed this book from the library and loved the content. It is perfect for doing at home or at school with children, and the materials needed are for the most part easily accessible. The print quality of this copy is really bad, though, and even hard to read in some pages.

    fun activities
I like the book — the activities are fun and engaging, covering everything from basic mapping topics like the compass rose and longitude and latitude to time zones and volcanoes and oceans. My only complaint is that, oddly, it seem that it is made up of photocopied pages that have been nicely bound into a book. Could they really not have used a proper printer for the book? It seriously looks like it was done on the library photocopier.

    Great for Like Minded Kids
I bought this as a Christmas present for a map-loving church student of mine. I guess that maybe I didn’t pay close enough attention to the style of the book when I ordered it, because when it arrived, I was dismayed to find that it wasn’t exclusive to map reading and functioned more as a text book from school. Among topics it covers are orienteering and reading weather and oceanography maps. However, my intended recipiant was more than thrilled to receive the book. He said that he’s studying the same stuff at school and he loves it. He could hardly put it down in order to go through the church service. It was engaging and insightful, he said, and that’s saying a lot coming from a kid who’s ADD and hates to read. I recommend this product.

    Poor quality publication, good content
I had borrowed this book from my local library, and immediately fell in love with it as a resource for my home school and my Cub Scout den. When I received this book, however, it was obvious that this was not the same quality of publication I had borrowed. The book is very thin and flimsy, and the pages look and feel as though they were copied on a copier. Some of the text that was apparently in a colored box copied very dark and is almost illegible. For the price, this was not a good value. The material contained is good, the quality of this publication is extremely poor.
