    EXCELLENT
I love this easy-to-read workbook that supports children who are struggling with a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem that interfere with their daily functioning. This wonderful book validates feelings and provides specific skills and strategies to address their challenges. I especially love how this workbook empowers children by offering a variety of “life skills” they can implement during difficult times. Children and parents can refer back to this book as needed and feel confident with these proven strategies and supports. Lastly, the book is very comprehensive and contains important information for children to take care of their bodies and minds in order to thrive. I will definitely recommend to my clients and families in my practice. Laurie Smith

Engaging and straightforward resiliency-building activities that parents can use with their kids
    I. Love. This. Book.Parents who see their children struggling with stress, and perhaps are feeling over-whelmed themselves, will find this book rich and rewarding. Information is presented in easily understood language, in bite-size chunks. Going through the book, parents will find that they benefit as much as their children from the reframing of their thoughts and mindset. My favorite activity is “Think Again” because it perfectly portrays the “100% Perfect” vs “100% terrible” thinking trap that so many of us experience. It’s on my fridge, as a reminder to our household…Thank you, Elisa, for an excellent professional work that can help any family increase resiliency and optimism, and which can be easily adapted for use by those providing counseling in schools.

    fantastic workbooks with creative activities!
This is a must-have book that teaches children about the value of grit – i.e. learning to be more flexible, keeping things in perspective, and building stamina. As a child psychologist, I frequently get questions from parents about how to help kids work hard or stick with challenging school assignments and extracurricular activities. This book has 28 innovative activities that help kids and parents learn new skills all while sending a strong message that children have the ability within themselves to overcome challenges. The author clearly knows how to reach kids as the exercises and examples are playful and relatable. The book also includes fun facts about how the brain works as it learns new challenges.
