Liked the book but were there some editing mistakes?
I did enjoy this book. I thought it really captured the ups and downs of the mother-daughter relationship. But, I found two, what I thought obvious editing mistakes. If I am On page 172, Dr. Liz and Laurie are staying at an Airbnb in Oslo. On page 195, while still in Oslo, Laurie says she take a cab back to “our Hotel” Did I miss the move from Airbnb to Hotel? On page 231, while waiting in the Bergen airport, Laurie tells us that one of her mom’s suitcases has been left with the concierge at the hotel. I assume it is the hotel in Bergen. Then on page 247, they return to Oslo after seeing the Northern Lights and Dr Liz wants to retrieve her bag from the hotel. Did they go back to Bergen or was it shipped to Oslo? If I am missing something, please let me know.

Fast Read!
I loved this book!!! The chapters just flowed easily into the next one. My favorite part was there weren’t a million characters hitting you at the same time for you to keep track of . You could easily transition from one chapter to the next. I read this before I made the journey to bury my Mom’s ashes next to my dad in another state. It just helped me feel all the feelings even though my mother was very different from the one in the novel. And it’s wonderful to think about their trip together particularly when they go see The Northern Lights in Norway.

Lovely book and beautiful story!
I loved this book and a total surprise at the end—I really didn’t expect that. It’s one of those books to have a days long binge read, (as I call it.) I really enjoyed the small and yet perfect chapters too, so if you do want to stop at any time, you can easily put the book down in between chapters and you don’t even need a bookmark. 🙂 Thank you so much for the beautiful story and one that resonates as well!

Easy yet moving read
I liked this book and used it for my book club. Some cried. Quick easy and could leave for a few days and be back in the story.

Unexpected Surprise Ending
This was a pleasurable romp through some of the great places to visit in Europe. I’m sure my favorite description was that of the Northern Lights, but there are a lot of places that Laurie and Dr. Liz visited that beg to be read. I enjoyed how the mother and daughter enjoyed their time together, especially their meals and shopping trips. I would like to think that the authors visited all of these wonderful places and ate all of that exotic food while doing copious research for this book! This is an amazing tribute to the relationships that mothers and daughters have or wish they could have, with relatable characters and a fast moving plot.I checked out this book from my local library using the Libby App. All opinions expressed are my own.
