This book brings joy! This book provides smart activities for kids – and really, all readers – to learn about food and how to feel empowered in the kitchen. There are ways for readers to journal and track their lessons and experiences, and to think of food as a great adventure. From learning about the parts of an egg, to making butter, to preserving foods, to understanding the role of sweets – this book makes food fun! While activities are recommended for kids ages 8-12, I’m excited to bring these to my Daisy Girl Scout troop. Perfect for young gardeners and cooks
This fun, informative book will be going to my 12 and 11 year-old grandchildren soon. The descriptions of the many different foods and food traditions are clear, and the colorful drawings will keep kids (and their parents!) excited and yearning for more.
