Dealing with bullys and overbearing friends is hard, playground politics as a parent sucks. This book give the child tools to firmly assert themselves and keep healthy boundaries.. no mummies needed! This little gem popped up on amazon and I grabbed it because it was cute I was pleasantly surprised by the practical lesson skillfully combined with a beautiful book.

My daughter said it was really helpful and nice and she enjoyed the story. When she stood up for herself, my daughter said she will use that next time she feels the same way. Thank you

No other book came close to what I needed
My kindergarten child with ASD was getting bullied by who he calls his “best friend”, who would just constantly scream into his ears “nobody’s your best friend”, “you have zero best friends”. He would come home and imitate this friend yelling into my ears waiting for my reaction. I tried to model a response he could learn from “that’s ok, I still have friends” but that didn’t work. Hard as it is for most typical kids at his age to grasp the concept of friendship, I saw my child drowning in emotions, overwhelmed and not sure if he had any best friends or even friends. I searched and found many books including this one to help alleviate the situation. The moment this book got delivered, I read this to him once and another time before bedtime. By the second time I read it to him, he could call out who the characters of the story referred to in his every day. That is all he needed! For the first time in a week my kid went to sleep without asking me “why do I not have a best friend?”. I have nothing but utmost gratitude for the author. Thank you.

Maravilloso libro
Es un libro genial que contribuye a enseñar a un niño a poner límites y no permitir que lo acosen o lo traten mal.

Fantastic
We could see our son had a “frenemy”- he loves this friend so much and couldn’t process why his friend was pushing boundaries. This book was very eye opening for him and a great conversation starter. We’ve seen him apply / assert himself in a respectful way and it’s been great for his confidence. Have recommended to many families.
